John is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW).

John’s aim has always been to have Clarke Bell provide a service that is both professional and friendly, while charging a fee that is transparent and affordable.

His visionary attitude has kept Clarke Bell at the cutting-edge where technology is concerned – including the firm’s early adoption of innovations like documentation digitalisation, cloud data storage, automated processes, and Cyber Essentials.

To compliment the technology side of things, John has built up a team of expert staff all of whom are provided with extensive in-house and external training.

This has all helped to make Clarke Bell’s processes as efficient as possible – which provides a huge benefit to the service we give to directors and their accountants.

John established Clarke Bell in 1994, after successfully gaining his insolvency licence. Since then, he has acquired extensive expertise in all matters relating to the strategies and practicalities of Corporate Insolvencies. Prior to starting Clarke Bell in Manchester, John worked in London for Grant Thornton and Smith & Williamson during which time he gained his qualification as a Chartered Accountant.
